Christmas Cookies

Reindeer, snowflakes, and Christmas tree cookies for the Felix & Slink Group.

Seamless apothecary jars filled with peanut butter cookies (this is the kind of cookie that is salty and sweet, and scrumptiously melt in your mouth).  I gave these to friends, the kids' teachers, and my fellow tuckshop ladies.  The only complaint I received was there wasn't enough cookies in the jar.

{ Medium-sized jar, with more than a dozen cookies }

{ Mini jars, with half a dozen cookies }

These cookie jars would make great party favours or wedding bonbonnieres.

LuLu-Chanel's birthday cookies

Vanilla bean sugar cookies made into sea shells, sea horses and starfish add a charming touch to LuLu-Chanel's sea-themed tea and pool birthday party.  Her mom sent me a photo of Kate Landers' mermaid party, so these were based on the cookies created by Bee's Knees Creative, as well as Peggy Porschen's sea creature cookies.

Duck and Owl Cookies

Quack, quack...

Whooo, whoooo...

Zoe's 21st birthday cupcakes

Zoe had her 21st birhtday party at Laruche, an opulent bar in Fortitude Valley.  We decided to keep Zoe's chocolate mud cupcakes simple, decorating them only with a monogram disc in rich pink and gold.

Instead of a more traditional cupcake tower, the cupcakes were presented in painted craft boxes with a ribbon tied around them (display inspired by a feature on Donna Hay Magazine).  These are photos that Zoe sent to me.  Pretty wonderful display, eh?

Balloon and ice cream cookies

Sugar cookies, made on a whim :-)

Ava's Cookies

Vanilla bean sugar cookies that I sent to Cairns for Ava's first birthday party.  They formed part of a dessert table with a pink, dark pink and white theme.  The flowers I made for the cookies were to match the pastel-iced cupcakes.

Bridesmaid Cookies

Will you be my bridesmaid?

Cookie design based on a sketch given to me by the bride.

Zack's Robin Hood cake and cookies

Robin Hood and Little John
runnin' through the forest
jumpin' fences, dodgin' trees
an' tryin' to get away
contemplatin' nothin'
but escape an' fin'lly makin' it.

Oo-de-lally, oo-de-lally
golly, what a day.

My memories of Robin Hood, master of the bow, champion of the poor, are very Disney-fied.

Chocolate mudcake is a spin-off from an enchanted woodlands cake that I made last year.  The design was based on Zack's Robin Hood party invitation.

Cookies and milk, and all the good things in life

You give me love, love, love, crazy love.

Vanilla bean sugar cookies and milk.
A huge, huge hug.
A big sloppy kiss that says 'I love you'.
That's what I want for Valentine's Day ;-)

Spoon and fork cookies

I made these sugar cookie spoons and forks as a Christmas present for Jon and Julie's family.  They are, all of them, genuine and real and just plain ol' nice.

Mini Christmas cookies

Mini Christmas cookies in a lovely apothecary jar.  I tied a length of kitchen twine around the jar and added  a peg from Papaya Homewares.  The decorative patterns and icing colours on the cookies can be easily changed to something more contemporary for a wedding, birthday or christening.

These little morsels of vanilla bean sugar cookies would make a beautiful bombonniere, party favour or simply to say 'thank you'.

Dragonfly Dreams

Custom birthday cake, cupcakes and cookie party favours for a 60th birthday party held at Sirromet Winery.  The designs were based on the party invitation from zazzle.com.au.

Daniela's Kite Party

A kite birthday cake with matching cupcakes for a 4th birthday.  The kite party was held at a park a couple of weekends ago, on a beautifully sunny day.  I also made kite-shaped vanilla bean sugar cookies, and provided tubs and rolls of icing and sugarpaste for the kids to decorate their own cookie.

Birthday cupcakes and cookies with airplanes, boats and cars

These cupcakes and cookies were made for a joint 1st and 3rd birthday party.  The cookies were wrapped as a set of three so each child received either a set of cookies with an airplane, car and boat, or a set piped with the requisite 'boy' sounds - 'vroom!', 'roarr!' and 'beep!'.

Quintessentially Elegant: A Dress and Three Little Pigs

I had a bit of cookie dough leftover and some new cookie cutters which happened to be a long dress and a pig.  So I made these - an evening gown in black and white, and ...

... three little pigs wearing pearls.  It would be amusing to give these sophisticated pigs to guests as a party favor at a black tie event.  Can you see the smiles and hear the chuckles?
